Crafty Fabrics are part of Chatham Glynn Fabrics, a 100% British company, who have been going for generations supplying the trade with upmarket upholstery and curtain fabrics. are an old established British company based in Essex.
Quilting cotton is a relatively new venture for them and whilst the design team (who are all sewists by the way) know a thing or two about designs someone pressed the wrong button we think when it comes to width! This fabric is 55″ wide when normal quilting fabric is 44″ thus it doesn’t fit on retailers racks and yes, you’ve guessed it, the retailers didn’t buy it! Perfectly good fabric just too big for their shelves. We’ve been asked to clear it so this is why its a bargain. Enjoy!
Just so you know, we might be an Outlet but it doesn’t mean we compromise on quality. Over the generations of trading we’ve learnt to only stock the best and most trusted brands who are as fussy about their products as we are. Before we work with any manufacturer we rigorously test their products for fade and shrinkage. We wash at 60 degrees several times and then compare colour and shrinkage. We fade test under bright and strong sunlight in the summer and super strong lamps in the winter. Only when our picky people are happy do we buy into that brand. This means that you have the best guarantee possible that your masterpiece will make family heirloom status someday.
